"FALLING!!!"
Are you tilting your head when you are looking this picture? Yes, it is intentionally tilted.
My intention is to create some dramatic elements in the shot. However, the result is not as what I thought and I was run out of time during that time to get several shots from other angles. Due to a storm was approaching and got back out.
Anyhow, I would like to share how is this shot being created without gradual ND filters.
This shot is stacked with two shots. One exposure for the sky and one for the foreground, both were shoot with a variable ND filter attached.
Prior I fuse them together, the original shots were adjusted via Lightroom (LR) and they were like this:-
EV 0: Sky
EV +1: Foreground
After stacking with Photoshop (layer clearing and color burn were applied), the shot become is like this:-
Then the picture was import back to LR for some cropping and further color enhancement (personally, I prefer to adjust most of the cropping, light and colors with LR) and the final result is as the picture on top.
I know there are more convenient way to create this shot, for example like exposing 3 different EV shots and fuse them together with PS and create a HDR picture. However, I'm not very fancy with HDR, that's why I apply this method to create the picture that I want it to be. If you have better ways to do this, please do share with me :)
