Ipoh - Perak Cave - 霹雳洞

还记得小学时代,课本里有读到这个地方.

长大后几乎每次路过怡保都会经过此地.

但是就是从来没有机会进去参观.

这一次终于有机会了!

接下来的一些细节就用图说了 :P

Penang

I always wish I have at least 3 days full to explore this island by walking or cycling.

This island is so lively and whenever I walk into one of the old shops in the UNESCO heritage area. It kind a reminded me the old shop that my aunty used to owned it when I was just 6~7 yrs old. It is a gathering point where all the family members used to gather during Chinese New Year and that time was so merit. Nevertheless, it also reminded me the delicious steam buns that made by my uncle. He was selling dim sum and steam buns that time and he is a very good steam buns chef, his "char xiu bao", "sang yuk bao" and "lo mai gai" are typically good. But after he retired the chance of tasting the buns which made by him is close to zero.

Nostalgia.........

The duration of visiting Penang this time is rather a very short one. It is just about 1/2 day. Instead of taking more photos, I choose to relax, observe and feel the surroundings. Hence, not many photos were taken. Anyhow, hope that next time I can do a more complete photo shooting coverage :)

Pulau Ketam, a set on Flickr.

"He who dares, wins"

...

"He who dares, wins"

Generally he is neither a good singer nor guitar player.
But he has the courage and dare to perform his talent to the public.
The goal is to draw people's attention and try to gain some fortune.
Well, he got my attention and some tips from others.

A Visitation to Royal Photography Society Exhibition.

Royal Photography Society (RPS)

"About The Royal Photography Society,

The Royal Photographic Society is an Educational Charity promoting both the art and science of photography. Membership is open to all, whatever level of experience or knowledge. No qualifications are required to join, just a passion and love for one or more of photography’s myriad of genres, technologies and applications.
Most of our members join to further their own photography and to embrace the challenge of working towards our world recognized Distinctions (LRPS, ARPS and FRPS) and Imaging Science Qualifications (QIS, GIS, AIS and ASIS).
By attending Society National, Regional and Group Events, our members enjoy unparalleled opportunities to share knowledge, meet and learn from other photographers and to develop their photographic interests and skills.
Open International Print and Projected Image Exhibitions are held annually alongside an Audio Visual Festival and members’ exhibitions.
The Royal Photographic Society is well respected for its outstanding achievement in Education. Although the majority of its work focuses on supporting and organising practical workshop and lectures it also organises community projects and work in schools and colleges.
Our internationally renowned Awards are presented annually, recognising the highest achievements in all fields of photography - Albert Watson HonFRPS and Annie Liebovitz HonFRPS being recent Centenary Medal recipients.
The Society has a long and proud History, established as The Photographic Society in 1853 in the pioneering days of photography, it became Royal by decree in 1894 and in 2004 it was presented with a Royal Charter. The Society’s Collection of priceless photographs and historical items is now housed at the National Media Museum, for the Nation."

The status of this organization is equivalent to the professional bodies such as ACCA, CIMA, CFA and etc. In order to get one of the distinctions, candidates are required to join the society as a member and pass thru a series of so called exams as well. So if you have the ambitious to become a recognized professional, you might want to consider this. I'm considering it too :)

One of my favorite.

This exhibition will be held until 28/07/2013 at D7 (to here), Sentul. It will start at 2pm in weekdays and 9am in weekend.

Be frank to say that I'm expecting this exhibition to be in a medium scale. But in fact it is more like in a small scale basis and that's a bit disappointed. Anyhow, most of the photos which exhibited in this exhibition are amazing. Technical and skills wise, they are near perfect and really much to comment about. But what amazed me is that from the photos they really are illustrating what is the meaning of control, master and create impression. These are really very high level pieces and it is a benchmark.

Now, this is my time to exhibit some of the not so as pro shots of mine. Today, instead of shooting at f8~22 all the way. I shoot with f1.4~2 very happy all the way. It has been a long while I didn't shoot at this setting and it is fun :)
